These are thoughts by me and Zach written during the long snowless November and December in 2001.

by Zach

Life as it should be

Skiing downhill all too fast

Trees, lifts, life: to ski

Fresh snow falling down

Majestic carving downhill

The thrill of first tracks

The hero of the world

Straight-lining Tuckermans

Toni Matt is he

To ski in shorts is

The eternal paradox

God send no answer

Tuning your own skis

Set DIN to nine, sharpen edges

Essence of hard-core

Sliding fast down slope

Theft, but worth every moment

Of lunch tray sledding

Special skier loves

Narrow, windy, ancient trails

Eastern skiing is

The Yard Sale in snow

Hats, skis, gloves; gear everywhere

The glory in the fall

By Me

I wait for the snow

still nothing falls from the sky

Help me Marv Albert

I am waxing skis

in the sun they glitter bright

we are both ready

what is a ski bum?

one who sacrifices all

for the chance to live

two and a half hours

the distance to winter's soul

there it waits for me

Responses to our Haiku -
Rabideel: so, did you and sheeba geeba wake up and decide to make write something, only to get ball sweat on it and smudge it, rendering it unreadable, and what is posted on the webpage is what you made of the ball sweated writings?
